Our mission is to assist businesses make informed strategic financial decisions and to implement sound business processes and controls.  Ruehle CFO Advisory team has over 60 years of experience collectively in various industries with the focus in technology. 

• Bill Ruehle is an experienced financial executive with a unique background in growing tech companies from pre-public to multi-billion dollar revenue streams.  From 1997 to 2006, Bill was the Senior Vice President and CFO of Broadcom Corporation.  He joined Broadcom when it was a private company with an annual revenue rate of $20 million from three lines of business and with around 150 employees.  A year later, Bill took the company public and over the next nine years helped to grow it to over $3.6 billion in revenue from 22 lines of business and with over 5,000 employees.
  

Before Broadcom, Bill served as the Executive Vice President and CFO of Bay Networks and its predecessor company, SynOptics Communications.  Again, joining the company when it was private, within a year Bill took the company public and over ten years helped grow a $2 million business with 30 employees to a business generating $2 billion in annual revenue and with over 6,000 employees. Prior to Bay Networks/SynOptics, Bill was the CFO of Acrian, a privately-held semiconductor company, for nine years. For the first eleven years of his career, he worked on the corporate controller's staff at CBS in New York as well as at various early stage Silicon Valley companies. Bill holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Allegheny College.

In 2012 Bill published a book describing his experiences with the criminal justice system as he was caught up in the so-called stock options backdating scandal.  Please see Publication section of this site.

• Julie Ruehle has over 17 years of professional experience where she has focused primarily in accounting and internal audit.  Julie's experience includes four years public accounting with Arthur Andersen and more recently the building of the internal audit function at a series of high tech public companies. Julie's most recent position was Senior Director of Internal Audit for Broadcom Corporation (semiconductor company) in Irvine where she established the function within the company and built a team to upgrade the company’s accounting and operational processes. 
  

Prior to that she served as VP of Internal Audit for Peregrine Systems (software company) where she also built an internal audit function.   Julie also established an internal audit function and a team at Fair Isaac, a software company, and conducted various audits.  Julie holds a BA from University of Houston and obtained her MBA from Pepperdine university in 2009.  She also holds Certification in Internal Audit (CIA) and is a member of various financial executive associations including FEI and FENG and TiE Global whose mission is fostering entrepreneurship globally.  She is also assistant to Bill in conducting lectures and guest speaking functions.

Although Ruehle CFO Advisory is relatively new as a boutique firm, Julie and Bill collectively bring to the table an extensive amount of complementary experience.  One major distinguishing factor of our firm is our one-on-one interactions and consultations with our clients.  Our team consists of just the two of us, so you are always dealing with a principal.  Our experience is wide and deep and we can help guide you through the process of establishing and growing your company in the marketplace while staying compliant in the regulatory environment.  We can help you apply sound business judgments in growing and scaling your enterprise.
